The weapon attempt must be done in Musou mode, and not in Free mode. Make sure that you have already played through the character's Musou mode (does not have to include his or her Gaiden). The following things must be done in order to unlock the fourth weapons. Yoshihiro's Shimazu's Dream: Successfully complete Yukimura Sanada's Dream. To do this you must complete Takeda Shingen's Story mode and Shingen's Dream stage in order to unlock Kenshin's Dream stage. Uesugi Kenshin's Gaiden (Dream): Complete Takeda Shingen's Musou mode including Gaiden (Dream). Mitsunari Ishida's Dream: Successfully complete Kanetsugu Naoe's Story mode.
Magoichi Saika's Dream: Successfully complete Masamune Date's Story mode. Oichi's Dream: Successfully complete Noh's Dream. Kenshin Uesugi's Dream: Successfully complete Shingen Takeda's Dream. They can be unlocked when you complete another character's Story mode or dream stage. This applies to all the characters in the game, except for five dream stages. For example, to unlock Yukimura Sanada's dream you must clear his Story mode.
The characters' dream stages can be unlocked only when you complete their Story modes. To unlock the Chaos difficulty setting, complete Story mode with Nobunaga Oda, Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Ieyasu Tokugawa.
